3. INSURANCE
All travellers booked with LIVELimitedmust be covered with adequate travel insurance.
This must include emergency repatriation- as a guideline; insurance obtained through LIVELimited has a £10,000,000 limit on medical expenses. Your policy should also cover personal possessions and cancellation & curtailment. If you are not adequately covered by your personal travel insurance we will not accept responsibility for the consequences. Details of the policy supplied by LIVELimitedare available upon request.
4. WHAT TO BRING
Generally, US Dollars cash is the most useful currency when travelling, especially for public holidays & emergencies, followed by the other major currencies. Travellers cheques (issued by a better known international company like American Express or Thomas Cook) are safer but less convenient than cash. Using them you should plan ahead and, on arrival at the airport, assess carefully how much local currency you may need for the trip’s first stage, or for that country, and change accordingly. Credit cards are favourable for major purchases and cash advances through ATM machines or at banks -also cash cards with the Plus or Cirrus signs. The further one travels away from main tourist and business centres the less one can rely on cards and travellers cheques.
NB: Always check visa requirements and the government travel advisory at www.fco.gov.uk for latest country advice. Take one copy, leaving another at home with your next of kin, of important information regarding your passport, travel insurance, credit cards, valuables, contact details, tickets and itinerary.
5. FINANCIAL SECURITY
The air holidays and flights in this brochure are ATOL Protected, since we hold an Air Travel Organiser’s Licence granted by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL 6151. In the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking. For further information, visit the ATOL website at www.atol.org.uk.
LIVEwishes to remind you that the very nature of any travel makes itineraries and information subject to change and services may not satisfy your home-comfort standards. The unexpected is often found in travel to exotic destinations and an easy-going flexibility is a useful item to pack. |
